By road, rail or air, Vaillant Live is easy and convenient to get to. Located on the south-western fringe of Derby city centre, the venue is a very short walk away from a major bus stop hub and taxi ranks on Victoria Street.

Derbion (by car)

If you're driving into Derby, Derbion offers convenient parking just a short walk away from the venue. Located in the heart of the city centre, Derbion provides three secure car parks with over 2,700 large, undercover spaces. 

From Derbion, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the venue via St Peter’s Street, Victoria Street, and Becket Well Lane. 

Parking at Derbion also places you steps away from a range of restaurants like Wagamama, Nando’s, Pizza Express and Carluccio’s as well as a wide variety of grab and go choices in our Food Terrace which can be enjoyed pre-show.      

Arriving in the evening? Take advantage of Derbion’s evening parking rate—just £2.50 after 5 pm in the Centre and Basement car parks. This makes it a great option for those attending evening performances any day of the week.

Walking from Derbion to Vaillant Live

A short walk from Derbion is just a 5-minute route through the city centre.   

Starting at Derbion, we recommended parking in our Basement or Centre Car Parks.  If choosing our Centre Car Park, then we recommend parking at the end closest to our restaurants and cinema.  Leave the centre through the main exit onto St Peter’s Street (near Starbucks and Pandora). Continue along to Victoria Street.    

From Victoria Street, turn onto Becketwell Lane - this leads directly to Colyear Street, where the venue will come into view.  

A Safe and Simple Walk Back to Derbion After a Show 

After an unforgettable night at Vaillant Live, getting back to your car at Derbion is just as easy as your journey here. The well-lit, straightforward walk takes around 5 minutes, through Derby’s city centre. 

From Vaillant Live, head along Colyear Street, following the path onto Becketwell Lane. This leads you to Victoria Street, where you'll continue straight ahead towards St Peter’s Street.  

Return back to Derbion through our entrance outside The Spot and escalators and lifts will be available to take you back to the car parks.   

Alternative options by car

Joining us by car? There is a large provision of car parking within the city centre ring road, with around 5,500 spaces within a 10-minute walk of the venue, including the 11 disabled parking spaces within 100m of the site, including Becket Street and Macklin Street .

By Foot

From Derby Cathedral Quarter

Pedestrians seeking to access independent retailers, bars, cafes and restaurants in the Cathedral Quarter (before and after events) can do via the signal-controlled pedestrian crossing on Victoria Street and the network of existing footways on St James’s Street, The Strand and Sadler Gate.

To/From Derbion Shopping Centre

Pedestrians seeking to access the Derbion Shopping Centre can take the same route as those accessing the Bus station via East Street, or choose to walk via Green Lane, St Peter’s Churchyard and London Road. Both routes are approximately 700m / 9minutes walk from the site.

By Bus

There are many bus stops nearby, with the main Victoria/Albert Street bus routes just 100m north, and the Derby bus interchange 450m away, via Victoria Street then onto St Peter’s Street, or via Green Lane, then St Peter’s Churchyard and then onto East Street.

By Bike

Vaillant Live benefits from fantastic bike routes within and around Derby city centre, including:

• Combined footway / cycleways on Corn Market, St Peters Street and Wardwick / Friar Gate
• National Cycle Network (NCN) routes 6, 66 and 54 are accessible from the site comprising mainly off-road along dedicated cycle paths
• Improved cycle provision along Albert Street / Victoria Street.

By Train

Leaving the venue, you can get to Derby Railway Station via the same routes as those for the Bus station or Derbion Shopping Centre - just keep going via London Road, the Castleward development or Siddals Road and Station Approach. Derby Station is around1.5km / 20minutes on foot.

• Sheffield - 3 per hour
• Chesterfield - 3 per hour
• Leicester- 2 per hour
• Burton- 2 per hour

By Taxi

There are a large availability of taxis in the local area, with 67 taxi bays within a ten-minute walk - the largest of which on London Road is just eight minutes walk.
